The 2001 Vanquish marked the brand's entry into the 21st century, heralding the revival of the great British GT coupe with a naturally aspirated V12 engine and state-of-the-art aluminum bodywork. Unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show, this GT designed by Ian Callum combined a chassis made of extruded aluminum and carbon fiber elements with a nearly 6.0-liter V12 engine developing around 460 HP, making the Vanquish the most sophisticated and powerful Aston of its time. Designed as a replacement for the Virage, it introduced a new stylistic and technical language that would serve as the basis for the future DB9 and DBS, while retaining the classic elegance and presence typical of Aston Martin.

The 2004 Vanquish Zagato Roadster is a spectacular one-off that celebrates the meeting of British grand touring and the audacity of Milanese coachbuilder Zagato, transposing the first-generation V12 Vanquish into a radically more sculptural roadster interpretation.
