Aston Martin DB5

Iconic Grand Tourer — timeless design and British craftsmanship

The Aston Martin DB5 is the archetype of the British GT car of the 1960s, having become a true icon thanks to its timeless elegance and its association with James Bond since Goldfinger in 1964. Produced between 1963 and 1965 in just over 1,000 units, it was based on the DB4, adding a 4.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine for around 282 HP and a top speed of over 230 km/h, which was top-notch performance for the time. A unique blend of handcrafted refinement, Touring Superleggera styling and advanced technology for its time (disc brakes, ZF 5-speed gearbox, luxurious equipment), the DB5 still embodies chic and sporty British grand touring today, to the point of being considered the most famous car in the world.

Aston Martin Goldfinger DB5 Continuation

Iconic Grand Tourer — timeless design and British craftsmanship

Aston Martin revived the legend in 2020 with the Goldfinger DB5 Continuation, a new and official reinterpretation of James Bond's DB5, with only 25 examples hand-built in Newport Pagnell. Painted exclusively in Silver Birch, it features the same aluminum body and chassis as the original DB5, as well as a 4.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing around 282 HP, paired with a five-speed ZF manual transmission. But above all, it incorporates a range of functional gadgets inspired by the film, including dummy machine guns, rotating license plates, a smoke diffuser, rear bulletproof screen, etc. Not approved for road use and sold for around €3 million, the DB5 Goldfinger Continuation is positioned as an absolute collector's item, halfway between a movie prop and a rolling tribute to the DB5's most famous role.
